Pictures of My WW2 Nazi Torn E.b Radio
The Torn E.b transceiver was the most common field radio used by all the German military services. The name
is short for Tornister Empfanger type b, which means knapsack receiver type b. It was made in 1943 and still has the
original paint on the faceplate and camouflaged lid, but the other surfaces were repainted many decades ago. It is a
4-tube radio and is complete and in working condition with the correct Waffenamt stamps on the inside and
outside of the radio. In the field, another soldier would carry an accessories box, which housed the battery,
headset, morse code key, etc.
